Good to know

Before surgery, the medical guideline recommends something else first:

„Conservative therapy measures are recommended before surgical intervention. As a rule, these should be carried out for a period of three months before surgical therapy takes place.“

German S2e clinical guideline “Hallux valgus” (AWMF)

HeyFoot supports you with the conservative therapy of your hallux valgus.

Frequently asked

Answered briefly

Can HeyFoot relieve my hallux valgus pain or even help me avoid surgery?

HeyFoot was developed to relieve your pain and improve the function of your feet. With a mild to moderate deformity, the misalignment may even improve slightly. However, we cannot say in advance how much you will benefit from the therapy. Only your treating doctor can judge whether surgery makes sense or is necessary in your case.

How long does it take before I notice the first improvements?

This varies from person to person. A good guideline for the first improvements is six to eight weeks. What matters most is that you really train regularly during this time.

How does training with HeyFoot work?

Every day, HeyFoot puts together a training programme with three to four targeted exercises. The app guides you step by step through each exercise with clear video instructions. A session takes between 10 and 15 minutes and can easily be done at home.

Can I do the exercises at home without any prior knowledge?

Yes. You don’t need any prior knowledge to use HeyFoot. You can train wherever you like. Just make sure you have enough space and a level, non-slip surface.

Do I need any special equipment for training?

You only need a few simple household items that you probably already have at home, for example a chair, a book, a pen, coins or a sheet of paper. You also need an exercise band, which we provide. You can also use a standard exercise band; you may need to tie it into a loop. A phone stand can make training more comfortable, but it isn’t essential.
